Workshops
Join us for a 1hour yoga session with Zoe Taylor, the founder of Ministry of Yoga (Lisbon). Zoe moved to Portugal from Australia in 2015 with an idea to expand her passion of yoga to a daily offering and combine it with her knowledge of International Business Management. Zoe believes that yoga can help the mental state of many people in society, working through ways to overcoming anxiety, worry, depression by learning and practicing to shift from a very active "doing" state to a relaxed, calm "being" state. The Sunday's class will include a dynamic physical practice (suitable for all levels- beginners welcome) to energize and align the physical body followed by meditation to calm, focus and clear the chatter from the mind ready to absorb more of the Mindsense Camp!
Want to know how to grow your own food?
In partnership with Noocity Ecologia Urbana, Organii prepared a series of workshops based on the theme of the book “an edible garden at home” by Isabel Mourão and Miguel Maria Brito. We want to prove that having a home garden is very simple! Miguel Maria Brito, the co-author of the book, has been studying the circumstance of the "open spaces" in the city of Lisbon and its potential for the practice of urban horticulture |
We have all heard about the problems plastic and toxic pollution are creating. Most of us wish it wasn’t so. Many of us don’t know what to do or how start.
One way, is switching to homemade products, being in household cleaning, personal hygiene, or cosmetics. During this workshop we will be talking about this problems and solutions and about how producing our own, 100% natural, ecological, economical and cruelty free products is actually simple. The workshop will end with the production of a facial scrub, which every participant will take with them. Give a new design to your pieces by costumizing it with etnic and original fabrics. Bring an old shirt or your old fashion denim canvas or any other piece and transform it yourself. If you never touched a needle, don't panic. This workshop doesn't require basic or advanced sewing skills. Only creativity and good vibes!

PIMP your MAKE SENSE bag !
An exclusive workshop for the makesense_w'kend lead by Portuguese stencilartist Rez-end. He has been part of our yesyoucan.spray-team for awhile now introducing us to new talents and inspiring the younger and older generation with his YOUNG BLOODS workshops to connect, motivate and captivate people to the stencil technique, showing that street art is accessible to all. During this workshop, we will teach a little bit about the history of Graffiti and Street Art, the different techniques of intervention and finally use one of those techniques (stencil/pouchoir/sjabloon...) so you can express your creativity. Street art is a way to improve abandoned buildings/walls around the cities but we will host a workshop for you to make your mark on your makesense_totebag to take home ! Definitely check out and follow our collective (@yesyoucanspray *) if you are not doing so yet and support our voice in spreading the word ; ) * YesYouCan.Spray is an intercultural collective that aims to engage creative interventions in public space and empower local initiatives with and for the people. |

Thomas Cock
"My name is Thomas Cock. I come from Brussels where I was a journalist, but was actually born in Congo. I like to travel and discover secret and authentic places. I lived in Montreal where I was a comedian; in Paris, where I was an actor; in San Francisco where I worked for NGOs; and now in Lisbon where I opened a tourism company called Thomas Cock Travel Agency. Meant to be!"
